About Battletours:

The idea of Battletours came about from a group of collectors and historians that focus was on the history of the Finnish-Russian-German areas of WW2. As this group met and discussed plans for future travels in these regions the idea of creating a company that would take like minded people on such adventures came to mind. After doing a lot of searching we quickly discovered there was a quite a lack of groups that provided such trips, at least those that provide trips at a reasonable cost. We decided to do something about this.

In working with our close ties held in Finland, Russia, the Baltic States, and other such regions a plan was put into motion that would bring a trip dedicated to the historian and collector to life. This was quite an effort and undertaking but was one that we as a group were dedicated to make happen. As combined there were many contacts shared in the nations of travel, those of us at Battletours were able to build a trip that few others could even imagine offering. Due to this hard work Battletours was able to grow and has since lead successful tours in Finland, Estonia, Latvia, and Russia. These are tours that met with great success and high customer satisfaction, as we build the kind of tour we would attend ourselves. So our trips are not created by a travel agent but are created by fellow historians and collectors.

As you read our site and all we offer, we truly feel that that the scope and amount of service we offer is unmatched. We will take you to the areas you want to see and offer history as it happened. Also with our many contacts we will offer you insights and closed door access to areas most other groups miss out on. Much of this trip will focus on the weapons of war and experts in this field will be on hand. No one offers this to the extent we do. Our group leaders are based in Finland and the USA and all are experienced in the region of travel and the history of these regions. These group leaders are also on the tour with the group, not based in some outside region. As such if there is something you need those in charge will be there to assist you.

Lastly while we do not do this solely for profit we do use nothing but the best in professional services and guides. We also try to cover most out of pocket costs - such as meals - in the price plan, which will save you money in the long run. Our goal is to present a trip package like no other. We want you to learn in an environment that other tours just can not offer. We also want you to have the time of your life and will do all we can to assist you.
